Another easy weeknight recipe. This recipe couldn’t get any more simple and you likely already have every ingredient in your cabinet. It’s time-efficient, cost-effective, and extremely filling. Creamy Gnocchi and Beef is the ultimate comfort meal and perfect for cool weather!

I love to pair this with roasted green beans and curl up on the couch with a nice, big bowl. If you’re not a fan of gnocchi, it can be substituted with any other kind of pasta. I love using shells or rotini in this sauce, too! It’s a very versatile recipe, and kids love it.

Creamy Gnocchi and Beef Recipe

      • 10 oz gnocchi

      • 1 pound of ground beef

      • 2 tablespoons of butter

      • 1 finely chopped shallot

      • 1 clove fresh garlic

      • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour

      • 1 c of beef broth

      • 1 c of marinara

      • 1 c of heavy cream

      • Shredded Cheddar Cheese to taste

      • Salt, Pepper, Onion Powder, and Italian Seasoning

        1. Cook gnocchi according to packaging instructions.

        1. Add one tablespoon of butter to a medium-sized skillet and season the ground beef with salt, pepper, onion powder, and Italian seasoning. Cook ground beef through and set aside.

        1. Drain the grease, add the other tablespoon of butter, and one finely chopped shallot (or onion) to the pan and cook till translucent. Add 2 tablespoons of flour and stir it into the shallots. Once the shallots and flour have cooked down, deglaze the pan with one cup of beef broth- ensuring the clumps get fully stirred out.

        1. Add one cup of marinara sauce and a cup of heavy cream. Bring to a boil and simmer till the sauce thickens. Once the sauce has thickened and shredded cheese to your preference and stir in till fully incorporated. Salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning to taste.

        1. Add in gnocchi and beef. Serve immediately and add shredded Parmesan to the top!
